Terms of Use
TICK is a free beta used by a small group of testers. The service may change, be interrupted or contain errors.
1. The service and who runs it
TICK is operated by Yahya Raissouni, sole proprietorship, in Montreal (Quebec, Canada). Contact: raissouni.yahya@yahoo.com.
The app gathers financial news from public sources (media, press releases, regulatory filings such as the SEC's, public disclosures of large investors and US Congress members), summarizes it neutrally with artificial intelligence, and notifies you of events about the assets you follow or own.
2. TICK does not give investment advice
TICK is not a broker, an investment adviser, a research analyst or a portfolio manager, and is not registered with any securities regulator. TICK reports public facts. Nothing in the app — news, summaries, notifications, importance score, market expectations, gaps against forecasts, price alerts, charts, assistant answers — is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold a security, or advice suited to your situation.
- The importance score measures the size of an event, never whether it is good or bad for you.
- Market expectations describe what analysts forecast, using fixed rules, the same for every stock; they do not predict the price.
- Price alerts tell you that a price you chose was reached; they suggest no action.
- Posts about large investors and members of Congress report public disclosures, published with a legal delay; they are not an invitation to copy them.
Your investment decisions are yours; if needed, consult a professional registered in your country.
3. Content written by artificial intelligence
Summaries and assistant answers are produced automatically by artificial intelligence, without human review, from third-party sources. They can contain errors, omissions or delays. Prices shown may be delayed. Every post links to its source: check it before any decision. Source content belongs to its authors; TICK publishes an original summary and a link, never the article.
4. Connecting your broker
Connecting a brokerage account is optional and goes through SnapTrade, a third-party service with its own terms. Access is read-only: TICK cannot place orders or move funds. TICK executes no transactions; links to a broker simply open your broker's app or website. TICK receives no payment from brokers or from the companies it covers.
5. Price
TICK is free during the beta: no payment is requested, there are no hidden fees and no subscription, so nothing to refund. If a paid plan is created later, its price, terms and refund policy will be shown to you before any payment, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.
6. Your account
You must be 18 or older; signing up asks you to confirm it. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the information you enter. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Account tab.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use TICK for illegal activity, try to access other people's accounts, disrupt the service or scrape its content at scale. TICK is not intended for people located in a country where its use would be prohibited.
8. Liability
The service is provided free of charge, as a beta, "as is". To the extent permitted by law, TICK is not liable for financial losses resulting from decisions made on the basis of the information shown, nor for interruptions or errors of third-party services (news sources, SnapTrade, price providers, AI providers). Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives you that cannot be waived, including under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act or the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
9. Changes and end of service
These terms may change; significant changes will be shown in the app before they apply. You can stop using TICK at any time. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
